31 days to go until 1st of September
& then SPRING!!!
What’s happening
in the market today? Well, we have seen
a lot of changes in the recruitment sector
with many more candidates coming through
and they need to have the best CV presentation
available. Candidates are going to find
more competition for a limited number of
job opportunities, and the CV is their first
impression to a potential employer, see
below.
Some companies are taking the option to
offer short term contracts or temp staff
rather than replace. This is due to the
uncertainty that they may be experiencing
in the current economic climate –
however this is only a temporary measure
as the market is constantly changing and
everyone needs to keep up with the changes
as and when they happen. As usual “it’s
all about how we think”, and once
spring hits we will all see an attitude
change and with the Reserve Bank cutting
interest rates late last month and potentially
again prior to Christmas, we will see a
change in peoples thinking and more positive
moves in the market.
My advice to you is to
accept the market as it is, go with it and
try to do things differently than you have
been before and make sure you continue to
market and network yourself out there.
